A wonderful day!

Yesterday My best friend came down from Manchester to see me. It had been a whole year since I last saw her but our communication has remained fluid throughout the year.

She treated me to a delicious meal but I was quite worried that I would not be hungry due to the meal (2 plates full) of Jamaican food, Indian food, African food & Eritrean food I had consumed but I have never been able to turn down a meal. Whilst I was relishing in my greed, I decided to have 3 of the best desserts on offer. Food is my passion!

So when I saw her we gave each other a big hug. It was much needed and it expressed the length of time we had not been in physical contact. We sat and engaged immensely back and fourth as we do for hours on end in our own little cubicle, just as well given the loudness of our voices!

I was ecstatic to inform her of my happiness due to the big changes and decisions I had made in my life. She was delighted to see this happiness beaming through my smile.

It was a wonderful day, filled with laughter, food, good company & one stuffed JoJo. What else could I ask for?!

So yesterday at a Miley Cyrus, We Cant Stop themed leaving/birthday party. I tried the most popular American sandwich for the first time ever. Peanut butter & Jelly (Jam).

After many years of refusing to understand this combination or even try it, it took me to be intoxicated to finally have a go. At first I was totally confused and couldn’t decide whether I liked it or not but regardless to say, I carried on eating it. Then before you know it, I had another slice and another. I was now hooked.

Well it is quite official that nearly everything works well with Jam, everyone just needs to try my childhood fetish of toasted jam and cheese. Absolutely delicious!

Food with entertainment!

Late on a Wednesday night, 12.03am to be precise, I retuned my Freeview telly and began browsing the channel list. I came across a few new channels but the Food Network channel on channel 41 was an interesting channel to stumble upon. So of course it’s going to be interesting because its going to about food, I told myself but this was a different type of interesting that I stumbled upon.

The show which was airing called Bitchin’ Kitchen presented by Nadia Giosa kept my attention, purely by Nadia’s stage presence. With Nadia’s kick-ass exterior and a touch of glam, she was full of character and gestures. She said every word with enthusiasm, smiled and made cheeky jokes in her comedic Italian accent.

As I watched the show I forgot I was watching a show on how to cook as she put it “recession recipes”, because I was being entertained every step of the way. She kinda reminded me of myself and how I would do a show about something so mundane as cooking, with personality and energy. She is a truly hilarious cook. Definitely a good night time stumble.
